Reflexology Theory & Techniques

August 10,11,17,18,19 (9am-4:30)

Cost: 730.00 (+gst)

Reflexology is a natural, non-invasive healing art that is based on the principle that there are reflexes in the feet as well as hands and ears that correspond to every part of the body.  There is virtually a ‘mini-map’ of the body on the feet with the toes representing the head, the ball of the foot ~ the chest area, the soft part of the foot ~ the internal organs and the heel of the foot ~ the pelvic region in our body.

By working the reflexes using specific pressure techniques, Reflexology helps promotes natural functioning of the body systems and allows it to heal itself.

Reflexology relieves stress and tension, improves circulation and helps to balance the physical, mental and emotional aspects of the whole person

Basalt stones are volcanic rocks that are nutrient and mineral rich that also retain heat for long periods of time. The positive energy of the stones also used to massage the body increases blood flow allowing muscles and internal body organs to relax.

The benefits include:

· Deep relaxation

· Reduced stress levels

· Soothing the nervous system

· Reduced muscular aches and pains

· Improved inflammation for chronic areas

· Rejuvenation

The treatment allows the practitioner to work at a deeper level with less strain and stress. Knowledge of the chakras and their relation to the endocrine system is included as placement of the stones .
